Betty Mcnutt

Betty Rhodes Morris McNutt, age 79 of Van Alstyne, Texas, formerly of Rison, died Monday, January 18, 2010. She was born August 3, 1930 in Cleveland County, a daughter of the late Oscar Eugene Rhodes and Mary Stover Moore. Mrs. McNutt retired from Western Sizzlin Steak House, after seventeen and a half years as a cashier. She was a member of Bethel Number One Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. McNutt was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Copeland; one brother, Lonnis H. Moore; and one grandchild, Jeffrey Morris.

Mrs. McNutt is survived by one son, Roy C. Morris of Howe, Texas; one brother, Carlton Rhodes Sr. of Pine Bluff; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Black Cemetery with Brother Jim Tollison officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Carlton Rhodes Jr., Rusty Moore, Eric Rhodes, Mark Trucks, Dr. Russell Burton and Matt Rhodes. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
