Betty J. Ashcraft

Betty Jean Thompson Ashcraft, age 69, of Sheridan, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant. She was born June 17, 1940 in Elizabeth, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Worley and Hazel Johnson Thompson. Ms. Ashcraft was a retired realtor with Century 21 Realty Company, and of the Baptist faith. She was also preceded in death by her son, Matthew Vines; brother, Worley Thompson Jr.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Jim and Becki Thompson of Norco, Louisiana, Benny Vines of Richardson, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Randy Arnold of Washington D.C.; brother, Ezra D. Thompson of Oakdale, Louisiana; three sisters, Alyne (Ed) Rodgers of Sheridan, Ruby (Ed) Barnhart of Sheridan, Rita Carol Thompson of Commerce, Texas; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
