Arthur Francis Espersen

Arthur Espersen, 81, of Pangburn, passed away August 25, 2017 at his residence.  He was born April 26, 1936 at Marshalltown, Iowa to the late Frank and Lula Schadt Espersen.
Mr. Espersen was a 1954 graduate of Pangburn High School and went on to serve in the Marine Corp.  He along with his wife were members of Pangburn First Assembly of God.  He was a carpenter by trade, and loved to build things and work with wood.  He was a fun loving person and loved to dance and loved his family dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Lawson Esperson; bro, Bill Schadt and sister, Agnes Schadt.
He married Margie Ferguson Espersen March 3, 1989 at Searcy, Arkansas; she survives.  He is also survived by three daughters, Tonie Tharp of Heber Springs, Brenda Miller (David) of Jacksonville, and Teresa Holden of Heber Springs; one step son, Scott Turner (Kaylon) of Oakgrove, Louisiana; step daughter, Melody Johnson of Pangburn; two sisters, Beverly Adams of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Ethel Schadt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30 at Sullivan Funeral Care in Kensett where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow with military honors at Kensett Cemetery.
