Arminta Rose (Cantrell) Hope, age 80 of Prattsville, Arkansas died Friday August 12, 2011. She was born February 24, 1931 in Mansfield, Arkansas, to the late Omer R. and Nana Estella Cantrell. Arminta was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Prattsville, Arkansas; she was a former Bible School Teacher and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was a 1949 graduate of Mansfield High School, and a member of the 1949 Mansfield Tigers State Tournament Basketball Team, past President of the Prattsville School P.T.A.. Arminta helped her loving husband Boyce grow his Farm Bureau Insurance Agency and did secretarial work for him for many years. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and enjoyed being outdoors. Arminta was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband Boyce, three sisters Verna Ferguson, Mavorette Williams, and Joyce Ann Cantrell, one brother Thomas Cantrell. She is survived by one son Jerry N. Hope (Lisa) of Prattsville, two daughters, Tena Roark ( Dennis) of Poyen and Karla Koon (Ed) of Sheridan, seven grandchildren, Landon, David, and Jonathan Roark, Christen Webb, Emily, Bodie, and Parker Hope, four great grandchildren, Austin, Aaron, and Bryce Webb, Cali Jo Roark, and many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and a host of many friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. 8:00 P.M. Saturday August 13, 2011 at Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be Sunday August 14, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at, Buie Funeral Home, Sheridan Arkansas. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery, Prattsville, Arkansas.
