Arlis Dewayne Stone

Arlis DeWayne (Dewey) Stone, age 45, of Rison, formally of Redfield, died Sunday, September 22, 2013. He was born December 22, 1967 in Fordyce, a son of JoAnn Ashcraft Prather of Jefferson and the late Arlis Edward Stone. Mr. Stone was 1986 graduate of White Hall High School. He was a supervisor for Aura Services in Redfield and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Stone enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by his step father, James Prather; grandparents Hughie Ashcraft and Allen Lunsford. Mr. Stone is survived his wife, Tammy Brown Stone of Rison; mother, JoAnn Prather of Jefferson; son, Mason Stone of Redfield; daughter, Jamie Stone of White Hall; step daughters, Brittneigh Morris of De Witt, Reba Post of Fayetteville, Destiney Powell and Kassi Carr, both of Rison; brother, James Stone of Redfield, sisters, Tammy James of Pine Bluff, Beverly Reeves of Ft. Smith, and Angie Prather of Sheridan; six step grandchildren, Abbigail Morris, Jakob Morris, John Brendon Post, Coen Post, Brady Post and Sawyer Post; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 27, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home with Brother Duane Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Buie Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Mike Caudell, Mark Robinson, Hunter Robinson, David Rushing, Sheddrick "Shaq" Frierson and David Barentine. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Reeves, Kelly Moore and Judge Gary Spears.
