Anna Jane Pate, 88, of Searcy, passed away November 14, 2015 at Unity Health in Searcy. She was born March 2, 1927 at Searcy to the late Walter and Emma Saxon Scritchfield.
She was a member of South Heights Church of God in Searcy; a loving mother, grandmother and friend; she also enjoyed trips to Branson as well as flowers and gardening. She will be remembered as being a Christian beacon and dear friend to others.
She married Ernest Pate September 3, 1946 at Searcy; he preceded her in death August 12, 1981. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Aubrey Scritchfield; and two sisters, Isabelle Durham and Clara Foster.
She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Ellison and husband David of Searcy; grandson, Michael Liddekee and wife Kelly of Bella Vista, Arkansas; great grandson, Cooper Liddekee; sister, Eathel Mae Reddick of Searcy; as well as a host of extended family, friends, and church family.
Visiting hours are 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 18 at South Heights Church of God in Searcy. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday also at the church with burial following at White County Memorial Gardens.
