Ann Norton

Ann Norton, age 82 of Rison, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born October 4, 1928, a daughter of the late Clifford Elder and Jennie Day Elder. Mrs. Norton was a high school and Bible College graduate. She was a homemaker and a caregiver for the elderly. Mrs. Norton enjoyed her music, playing the piano and guitar. She was also preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Mrs. Norton is survived by one son, W. C. Russell Norton; three daughters, Cheryl Hubbard, Deana Taylor and Carol Watkins, all of Rison; two sisters, Barbara Slaughter of Alabama, Ginger Jones of Georgia; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services are 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Reverend William Paul Woolley officiating. Memorials may be given to the Donors charity of choice. Funeral arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison. (870) 325-6216.
