Ann Hale Greenlee, age 66, of the Calmer Community near Rison, died Friday, June 5, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born December 20, 1942, in Cleveland County, a daughter of Genette Smith Hale of Calmer and the late Walter Hale. Mrs. Greenlee retired from Star City School Apparel as a seamstress and was a homemaker. She was a member of Center Missionary Baptist Church and attended Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Glendale.
Mrs. Greenlee is survived by her husband, Homer Greenlee of Calmer, whom she married on June 24, 1960; son, Mark Greenlee of Fountain Hill; two daughters and sons in law, Janet and Lloyd Kimsey of Glendale, Joyce and Michael Ballew of Rowell; mother, Genette Hale of Calmer; six grandchildren, Brandi, Jessica, Samantha, Max, Karen and Collin; four step grandchildren, Bridget, Eric, Jared and Christian; three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2009, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Glendale with Brother Doney Blackerby and Brother Mike Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
