Anleen Vinson

Anleen Vinson, age 89, of Pansy community near Rison, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Vinson was born November 16, 1925 in Rowell, a daughter of the late Jim Jacks and Radie Stark Jacks. She was a 1944 graduate of Woodlawn High School and retired from the Levi Strauss Corporation. Mrs. Vinson enjoyed sports, especially the ones her children and grandchildren participated in. She attended Prosperity United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Vinson; five brothers, Joe Jacks, Jerry Jacks, R. L. Jacks, Ralph Jacks and James Jacks. Survivors are her two sons, Sammie Vinson and wife, Linda of Woodlawn, Scotty Vinson and wife, Irene of Woodlawn; daughter, Sandra Young of Rowell; sister, Fern Vinson of Cabot; seven grandchildren, Mickie, Rhonda, Daniel, Amy, Brady, Melanie and Amber and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Prosperity United Methodist Church in Pansy with Reverend Robert Lyons and Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Pansy Cemetery at Pansy. Pallbearers are Sammie Vinson, Scotty Vinson, Daniel Vinson, Brady Vinson, Patrick Vinson, and Kolby Williams. There will be visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday prior to the funeral service at Prosperity United Methodist Church in Pansy.
