Alvin Lloyd Smith, Sr.

Alvin Lloyd Smith Sr. was born on March 25, 1935 in Houston, Texas. Alvin crossed to his heavenly home on December 24, 2024 in Searcy, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim Lee and Elizabeth Irene Smith, his wife of 60 years Barbara J. Smith, sons Alvin Lloyd Smith Jr. and James Ralph Smith, and one brother Richard Smith.

Alvin is survived by one daughter Stephanie Edwards (Tommy), one son Michael Thomas (Karen), Grandchildren, Jamie Wyatt, Jeremy Edwards, Alvin Lloyd Smith III, Amie Smith, Dana Nowlin, and Justine Schumacher, Mitch Thomas, Miranda Thomas, Great grandchildren: Hayden Edwards, Jayden Smith, Blakely Cook, Rileigh Brewer, Cooper Wyatt, McKenna Edwards, Wyatt Smith and Evelyn Schumacher, as well as, one brother Clinton Smith, and one sister Ruthan Mezaros.

Alvin was well loved by the Bettley family for decades, as well as, many family members and friends.

He was a founding member and deacon at McJester Baptist Church in Pangburn, AR.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sunshine School of Searcy.
