Alma F. Norks

Alma Edwards Norks age 93 of Rison, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born March 11, 1914 in Heflin, Louisiana, a daughter of the late Robert and Dorcia Sullivan Davis. Mrs. Norks was a homemaker and a member of Cornerstone Church of God. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Edwards; four sons; two daughters; one grandson; one granddaughter.

Mrs. Norks is survived by four sons, Jessie Edwards of Arkadelphia, Jimmy Edwards and Billy Edwards of Pine Bluff, Curtis Edwards of Rison; three daughters, Mary Guffy and Esther Thompson of Rison, Linda Smith of Pine Bluff; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at Buie Chapel in Rison with Brother Johnathon Hall and Brother Joe Lee Poss officiating. Burial will follow in the Prosperity Cemetery. Visitation is 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Church of God. Pallbearers will be James Bullock, Bobby Byrne,Chris Springfield, DeWayne Whipple, Ron Edwards and Terry Johnson. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.
