Alice Jean Counts

Alice Counts, 63, of Kensett, passed away January 29, 2017 at her residence following a brief illness.  She was born November 2, 1953 at Newport, Arkansas to the late William Blagg and Erma Kibbe Blagg.
She was a graduate of Valley View High School in Jonesboro and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Searcy.   In her past times she enjoyed golfing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Leiman, Maurice, and Billy Ward.
She married Bob Counts March 6, 1974 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Jonesboro; he survives.  She is also survived by one son, Joshua Counts (Mary Jo) of Searcy; daughter, Tonya Lay (Trevor) of Sherwood; three grandchildren, Taven Lay, Temperance Lay, and Kira Moreland; two brothers, Wiley Ward (Pam) and Jimmy Ward both of Jonesboro.
Memorial services for Alice will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church in Searcy.  Memorials and flowers should be directed to the church.
