Alex Cotton

Alex Bud Cotton, age 91, of White Hall, originally of Sheridan went to his resting place Thursday, January 8, 2009. He was born December 24, 1917 in Sheridan to the late Charlie and Genna Benson Cotton. Mr. Cotton was a retired fork lift operator for J.L.Williams Sawmill, and a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, fish, and work in his garden. Mr. Cotton was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Cotton; two sisters, Myrtices Williams and Minnie Young; two grandchildren, Kristy and Wayne Greer.

He is survived by his daughter, Martha A. Hall of White Hall; sixteen grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2009 at Buie Funeral Chapel in Sheridan with Brother Danny Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel South Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan. (870) 942-3231.
