A.C. "Sonny" Carroll

A.C. "Sonny" Carroll, 86 of Rowell, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 in Vilonia surrounded by family. He was born August 16, 1931 in Jellico, TN to the late James and Anna McNeally Carroll. Mr. Carroll served in the US Army. He was a retired truck driver and had previously attended Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church.

Also preceding him in death was his wife, Elizabeth Marie Carroll; 1 daughter, Pamela Carroll; 1 grandson, Chaz Carroll; and 1 sister, Betty Badgero.

Survivors include 3 sons, David Carroll of Vilonia, Timothy Carroll of Warren. MI, Chuck Carroll of New Haven, MI; 1 daughter, Vena Hunt of Fairborn, OH; 1 brother, John Smiddy of California; 3 sisters, Frankie Smiddy of Amarillo, TX, June Williams of Jellico, TN, Flossie Knoth of Land O' Lakes, WI; 16 grandchildren; and 31 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Bro. Ricky Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery at Woodlawn. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 pm Tuesday. Pallbearers will be T.J. Rushing, Tony Rushing, Eddie Rushing, David Smiddy, Don Smiddy and Mike Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Nate Hatfield and Michael Hatfield.
